While there, we had the privilege of playing combined concerts with both the Latvian National Guard Band and the Latvian Navy Band. During the 1998 trip, the band participated in the Pass in Review for the Baltic Challenge, a military excercise that included units from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and the United States. Our 2001 trip commemorated the 800th Anniversary of Riga, the capital of Latvia.
